​​​​Prince Faisal Bin Fahad Bin Abdulaziz Sports Medicine Hospital was established in 1985 in an attempt to cover the needs of the Saudi youth and to complement the several sports facilities that honor our dear country. The establishment of this hospital came as a result of the support given by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to our nation's youth and with the continuous follow-up of  His Royal Highness Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed Bin Abdulaziz, the President of the General Sport Authority in an attempt to provide the comprehensive healthcare to our youth in the different aspects of the modern sports medicine including the prevention and treatment in order to be able to exercise in their best health and fitness.

King Faisal Bin Fahad Hospital is a big step in the national sports since we cannot build a large and stable sports base without relying on a full range of sports medicine services that keep pace with the sports planning starting from choosing the promising youngsters until releasing them in the competition arenas.​

Based on these facts, this hospital has been established in a very professional way in order to be a center for providing distinctive services in all fields of sports medicine which is not limited to the diagnosis or treatment of sports injuries but is considered as a multi-faceted professional specialty. It is specialized in the athlete's healthcare and prevention including exercise physiology, biomechanics, sport psychology, and sports nutrition. It is also specialized in the field of clinical sports medicine in all its prevention and treatment aspects and its importance in giving a precise diagnosis of the injury and defining its appropriate treatment using the latest methods in compliance with the type of sport that requires maintaining the vitality of the organs in a way that ensures the fast comeback of the athlete to his favorite sport.

This is what the hospital was keen on achieving since its establishment depending on the experience and knowledge of specialists in the fields of sports medicine using the latest equipment with the continuous support rendered by His Royal Highness the President of the Global Authority of Sports.  ​
