 Closure of the Third Session of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers (ICYSM)
The third meeting of the Islamic Conference of Youth and Sports Ministers was concluded in Turkey on Friday as the final session included the presentation of the preparatory committees’ reports and the general secretariat’s reports in addition to the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation’s report regarding the preparations of the Fourth Islamic Solidarity Games that will be held in Baku in 2017.

At the end of their meeting, Ministers expressed their gratitude and admiration towards the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Selman Bin Abdul Aziz for having the headquarter of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation and for the support rendered to it in order to be able to execute its programs and activities to the fullest. They also thanked His Royal Highness the President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation Prince Abdullah Bin Musaed for always following-up on the federation’s programs and for working on executing them at their best. Ministers also thanked the Republic of Turkey for hosting this meeting and the General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation for organizing and preparing it.

The meeting’s recommendations included:
 Adoption of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Sports Strategy from 2017 to 2025.
 Inviting the Organization’s General Secretariat for taking the appropriate procedures related to the execution of the sports strategy by the member states.
 Welcoming the initiative taken by the Republic of Azerbaijan for receiving the Fourth Islamic Solidarity Games from 12 to 22 May 2017.
 Praising the efforts made by the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation in communicating with the member states for always participating in its programs.
 Issuance of an annual report by each member statethat includes statistics related to youth and working on the provision of the best practices for developing their capacities and capabilities starting from the year 2017.
